Pokkiri - Smashing Opening

Pokkiri - Smashing Opening

"Vetri Meedu Vetri Vandhu Namai Serum....."

If the advance bookings are anything to go by, the opening of Pokkiri is going to be one of the most phenomenal openings in recent times for any Tamil film. With slashed ticket rates (please note that the slashed ticket rates apply for other releasing films too), our film has now taken a sensational advance booking record with shows for the first week being sold out at most places.

Other competitors for Pongal are nowhere close to Ilayathalapathy's Pokkiri. At the huge and prestigious Devi Theatre in Chennai which is generally considered to be Vijay's fortress in Chennai, Pokkiri's tickets have been sold out for the first week till the 21st of January. As per the last accquired news, Udhayam complex in Ashok Nagar has sold out all tickets for the first three days after the release of Pokkiri. We are just waiting for the info tomorrow on how many tickets have actually been sold till now.

The fans are truly basking under the sun, hearing this news about Pokkiri's advance booking reports. We also have images to prove you of the advance booking records.

The above picture was taken 3 hrs after the reservation started. And 3 hours after the reservation started, the first 4 days of tickets for Pokkiri vanished into the hands of the eagerly awaiting fans of Vijay who are going to quench the thirst of watching a Vijay film after a gap of one year, in the theatres!

More detailed Advance booking reports for other areas in Tamil Nadu will arrive soon within hours, but we are sure that they are going to project a similar (or even bigger!) story because Vijay's films perform even bigger in rural areas. Its our prime job to update you of the magic that Pokkiri is going to create in the coming days. Till then, just listen to Pokkiri's songs and imagine how they are going to be when viewed on the big screen.

"Indha Pongal namma Pokkiri Pongal Da...."
